You’ll be blown away by the results of adding an Oil Cleanser to your daily routine!
Today’s topic may be something of common sense or something you already do but we wanted to take a moment to focus on how to properly wash your face with an oil cleanser.
Washing your face daily is important in removing harmful bacteria, free radicals and all the other toxins that can not only make you age faster, but make reversing the signs of aging that much more difficult. The best way to combat dark spots, wrinkles and sagging skin is to make sure your skin is clean and prepped so it’s ready to work!
The difference between an oil cleanser, like South Beach Skin Lab’s Olive Oil Cleanser and traditional foaming cleansers is that oil can attract more dirt and oil from your pores than foam.
When you use an oil cleanser, it binds itself to the impurities in your skin and removes them. It also happens to be one of the most effective makeup removers around which means you can get rid of even the most waterproof of mascara without adding extra steps to your routine!
Sound too good to be true?
What’s more shocking than it’s benefits is how easy it is to use an Oil Cleanser. Today we’re going to show you how!
1. Step One: You Only Need A Small Amount
When using an oil cleanser, always start with a small amount of product in your hands. You can always add a bit more if you need but remember that a little bit goes a long way with oil cleanser.
2. Step Two: Apply To A Damp Face
For best application with your oil cleanser, you’ll want to apply it to a damp face. Not wet, not dry. Having some moisture on your face will help spread the oil around your face but too much water can dilute the oil and make it less effective.
3. Step Three: Gently Apply
With the South Beach Skin Lab Oil Cleanser between your fingertips, apply to your entire face in a gently circular motion making sure to keep it directly out of contact with your eyes and mouth. If you want to use a different oil cleanser, you should look for one where you can feel a tiny bit of friction between the product and your skin. That means the oil is working to attract all the dirt and bacteria in your skin like a magnet would.
Unlike foaming cleansers, don’t expect an oil cleanser to foam up as much when you rub it in but it will turn milky white and emulsify as it comes into contact with water like in the photo above.
4. Step 4: Rinse!
Once the product is applied to your entire face, rise off the cleanser from your face gently with water or a wet face cloth. You want to make sure you’re rinsing with lukewarm water. Using water that is too cold or too hot can end up leaving your skin feeling dried out after cleansing.
5. Step 5: ADMIRE!
What really sets oil cleansing apart from other methods is that you can notice an instant result right after washing your face! With your Oil Cleanser, you can expect to notice your skin feels substantially more clean and moisturized right after you use it.
If you’re the kind of person who loves instant gratification (and let’s face it who doesn’t?!) then prepare to be blown away by the amazing transformation oil cleansing can provide for your skin!
