This Is Why Drinking Coffee Could Actually Help Make Your Skin Healthier

For some of us, our day doesn’t start until we’ve had our cup of coffee. Not only does this tasty little lifesaver get you going in the morning, it can also do wonders for your skin!

Coffee is rich in antioxidants, so much so that the American Chemical Society has found that coffee is the most popular source of antioxidants for people in the United States — even more so than beverages like tea and wine.

While these antioxidants are super effective when consumed, they’re also just as effective when used topically on the skin! You can turn the coffee from your kitchen into a paste, mask, or scrub for your entire body!

So how can you save your skin with coffee?

Try making a homemade coffee scrub.

Not only will it smell delicious, but it’s also been proven to reduce cellulite and improve the blood flow in your body. You can use it on your arms, face or even your thighs and backside! Your skin will be left soft to the touch and looking vibrant and will help remove all the dead skin cells and toxins.

DIY a coffee face mask.

Try this simple recipe from your own home!

1. Mix together 1 part coconut oil and 1 part ground coffee and apply to your face using circular motions. Make sure to keep it out of your eyes, ears, and nose!

2. Leave on for at least 15-20 minutes up to an hour.

3. Rinse off with warm water

4. Apply anti-aging cream to your freshly opened pores!

This will help brighten your skin and say goodbye to dark spots and dullness! A simple coffee mask reduces inflammation on your face leaving wrinkles less visible. It is also a lifesaver for dark under eyes. The caffeine in the coffee will help dilate blood vessels making the darkness appear brighter and more healthy!
